Hanging By A Thread shows the vulnerability of nature in the aftermath of two wildfires. Landscapes in Suffolk and Surrey were among those affected during summer of 2022 when UK recorded its highest ever temperature, 40.3 degrees Centigrade. The effects of fire are extended to the picture frames and glass, in a similar way to the remnants of nature in the aftermath of the wildfires. This sense of material destruction is intended to emphasise how climate change is no longer a distant image but one closer to home.
